Most multi-branch software assumes constant, reliable connectivity between every location and head office. In Kenya, that assumption breaks constantly - a branch loses signal, a power cut hits mid-shift, and suddenly either sales stop entirely or they get recorded on paper "for later," which quietly becomes never. Multi-branch visibility that only works when everything is online is not really multi-branch visibility. It is a demo that works in ideal conditions.

This was the first real architectural decision behind Nuvana Business, made before almost anything else - because a system that can't take a sale during a network outage isn't multi-branch software, it's single-branch software that happens to have more than one location using it badly. We'd rather build the harder thing once than build the easy thing and watch it fail during exactly the moments it matters most.
